Collaboration

Engagement with industry is a key part of the ability of MIMIT to translate novel ideas and solutions into products that address the unmet clinical need identified through our partner institutions. The projects set up to generate and develop solutions, cover a wide range of clinical and technological challenges and whilst utilising the extensive expertise of its partner institutions, MIMIT welcomes additional input from industry.

Collaboration can be through a number of different ways; by bringing specific technology-based expertise, innovative design, knowledge of large scale manufacturing, commercial development and/or regulatory approval experience. Through such interactions, the opportunities to develop and commercialise innovative solutions in defined market spaces can be realised. Through such partnerships, exploitation of novel solutions can bring improvements in patient care.

Bespoke Services

MIMIT also offers Bespoke Services where industry led suggestions of unmet clinical need can be explored in more detail through Targeted Scoping and Validation and brainstorming Forum, in which the ideas for novel solutions may be generated. These activites have the potential to lead to individual projects aimed at developing and refining an idea into a practical solution to address the unmet clinical need.
