MIMIT Industry Liaison Team Ready for Business

The MIMIT Industry Liaison Programme (ILP) is still in the planning stages, and we are incredibly pleased to welcome two new members of the team to bring this exciting new project to fruition. Dr Sandra Crosbie

Dr Sandra Crosbie (top) joins us from the University of Manchester, where she is a Manager in the Business Relations Team; Sandra also brings a wealth of management experience from Royal Philips Electronics and is optimistic about the MIMIT vision; "‘I am excited by the idea that MIMIT can solve clinical problems by bringing together groups of experts who might not otherwise meet..as teams drawn from within the clinical, academic and business communities form a powerful way of realising solutions."  Sandra will be joining MIMIT as Business Development Manager for the MIMIT ILP, which she says; "...is a key element of the overall MIMIT aim to deliver actual patient benefit. It is an admirable goal and I really enjoy being part of it."

Dr Siân Taylor (bottom) graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Southampton and, having completed a Cancer Research Campaign-funded PhD and a short stint in research at the Victoria University of Manchester, she joined the Cancer Bioscience department at AstraZeneca. Initially lab-based, Siân was involved in delivery of bioscience data to drive drug discovery projects, which was followed by an extensive period as project lead; she is now enjoying putting her management skills to work on development of the ILP; "It is an exciting time to be part of a new and developing organisation, whose aim is to provide real patient benefit, in an innovative and collaborative manner”.

Siân and Sandra will work together to move the ILP forward, and are currently putting all the necessary preparations in place to launch in 2010 - register your email (below) for the latest ILP & MIMIT news, or contact us directly.
