MIMIT™ has identified senior representatives within each organisation to identity both clinical need and clinical exploitation potential in science and engineering. These ‘Site Miners’ are the catalyst for forming collaborative relationships amongst clinicians, scientists and engineers.

Site Miners are of critical importance to MIMIT™, being well-established professionals in their field.

The Site Miners’ role is to:
- Identify unmet clinical problems
- Identify exploitation potential in technology & engineering developments
- Share knowledge across disciplines and between institutions
- Foster innovation, enterprise and entrepreneurship
- Act as the catalyst to form collaborative relationships
